The challenge

Kairos was growing faster than its tools. The image changed from one flyer to the next, the website didn't reflect the congregation you actually meet on a Sunday, and the administration —members, attendance, tithes, campaigns— lived scattered across spreadsheets and chat threads. A church that welcomes every person with a “welcome home” needed its digital home to live up to that.

2

What we did

We built the entire ecosystem on a single brand. First the identity: a mark that fuses an hourglass —God's appointed time—, an eagle and the K of Kairos, documented in a twenty-four-page manual. Then the software: a management platform with members, households, attendance, calendar, announcements and a full treasury with funds, campaigns, online giving and annual PDF statements; email automations that welcome newcomers, celebrate birthdays and remind about events; a portal where each member confirms attendance, gives and requests prayer; its native mobile app for iOS and Android; and the redesign of the bilingual public site, now in its launch phase.

3

The result

One brand from the pastor's business card to the app, and one platform instead of the spreadsheets. The pastoral team sees attendance, treasury and prayer requests on a single dashboard; the congregation confirms events, gives and requests prayer from their phones; and the welcome and birthday emails go out on their own. The time administration used to devour went back where it belonged: to people.

The brand manual

An hourglass, an eagle and a K

An hourglass, an eagle and a K

Kairos, in Greek, is the opportune time: the moment appointed by God. The mark fuses that idea into a single shape —an hourglass, an eagle that speaks of guidance and protection, and the K of the name—, built on a grid where every measure derives from the letter itself.

A variant for every moment

A variant for every moment

Logo with descriptor for the main pieces, logo and wordmark for mid-size spaces, the mark alone for the smallest formats. Every version keeps its proportion, color and composition: the brand adapts to the medium without losing itself.

Clear space and minimum size

Clear space and minimum size

Around the mark there is a clear-space zone measured in the K itself: no text or images go in there. And when the format shrinks, the name's legibility is protected first; if the text loses clarity, only the mark remains.

Three typographic voices

Three typographic voices

OPSI lends its elegance to the wordmark, Behind The Nineties gives headlines their presence, and Kumbh Sans carries the reading text. Three typefaces with defined roles so every piece —from the bulletin to the signage— speaks with the same voice.

Ivory, ochre and earth

Ivory, ochre and earth

A warm palette drawn from the sanctuary, not from a trend: ivory as the canvas, ochre as the lead color, and sand pink, gold, olive green and black as measured accents. The manual sets the exact proportions so no piece drifts off-tone.

Photography of real community

Photography of real community

No forced poses: real moments of worship, teaching and service, in natural light with people at the center. The photo guidelines set four words —community, authenticity, natural light, service— and everything published is measured against them.

Ribbons, semicircles and patterns

Ribbons, semicircles and patterns

From the mark grows a complete graphic system: subtle backgrounds, ribbons that frame compositions, semicircles that highlight phrases like “God's timing is perfect” and patterns that carry the visual thread from one piece to the next.

What the brand never does

What the brand never does

It isn't stretched, rotated, retypeset or given a new descriptor; it isn't recolored with the secondary palette or placed on backgrounds that hurt its legibility. The limits don't cut creativity short: they guarantee Kairos is recognizable in any context.

The platform, module by module

A single dashboard to run the whole church: people, calendar, money and communication in one place, with role-based permissions and an audit log of who did what. The screenshots below use demo data: fictitious names, figures and transactions, never real congregation information.

The church's pulse, at a glance

The church's pulse, at a glance

The home screen answers in five seconds what a pastor asks every Monday: how many active members there are, how attendance is trending week by week, how much came in this month and which prayer requests are open. Below that, upcoming events, the week's birthdays and the latest attendance records, each linking through to its module.

People, not spreadsheet rows

People, not spreadsheet rows

Every member has a profile, tags —ministry, leadership, volunteering— and custom fields the church defines for itself. Members group into households, visitors come in as contacts and move through a staged pipeline until they're integrated, and organizations let you run ministries and groups with their own roles. All of it with search, filters and pagination.

A treasury that can withstand an audit

A treasury that can withstand an audit

Income and expenses by category, separate funds —general, missions, building— and an annual budget with its execution tracked. On top of that, everything a church needs in order to receive: online giving, recurring gifts, saved payment methods and campaigns with their goal and progress. At year-end, giving statements go out as a PDF for each donor.

From the calendar to the attendance sheet

From the calendar to the attendance sheet

Services, studies and special activities live in a monthly calendar with their own event page, and from the portal and the app members confirm whether they're coming. After the service, attendance is recorded by meeting type, and those records are what feed the trend chart on the home screen: the loop closes without typing anything twice.

The emails that write themselves

The emails that write themselves

This is where the platform gives hours back. Flows that fire on their own: a welcome on sign-up, a greeting on the birthday itself, a reminder twenty-four hours before each event, a follow-up three days after a first visit. They lean on reusable email templates and scheduled sends, and they sit alongside manual announcements, prayer requests and the expansion maps.
